Eric Akurugu - Vice Chairman

Mr. Eric Akurugu is currently the vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Maltaaba Community Bank. He is development finance professional with strong background in microfinance, grants management and business development. He has been working in the development arena occupying various positions for the past sixteen (16) years.

He worked as Credit Manager in Naara Rural Bank before delving into development work in the last nine (9) years performing various roles such as Microfinance programmes officer, Grants and Subcontracts Officer, Grants and Business Development Manager notably in USAID and DFID funded projects and programmes in Northern Ghana.

He is currently the General Manager (GM) of the Business Resource Centre (BRC) in Sandema under the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) implemented by the Rural Enterprises Programme (REP). He attended the University of Cape Coast where he attained Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Organisation Development and Master of Science (Msc) in Microfinance from the same University.
